Our Mission is to cultivate legacy-defining moments for the people and places we serve for generations to come.
Helping those in need in our community
In February 2024, Kimmie contracted Influenza A, leading to a series of medical complications that changed her life forever. Kimmie lost her hands and legs, but she refused to let that define her. With the support of her family, she’s finding a new perspective on life. As Kimmie’s remarkable journey unfolded, True Community Credit Union learned of her critical need for an accessible van, and we stepped up.
Now, Kimmie and her family face a new challenge—finding a safe, wheelchair-accessible home where they can live together comfortably. Their current home isn’t designed to support Kimmie’s needs, making everyday tasks more difficult for her and her family. The financial strain of medical expenses, travel to appointments, and the time and care required for Kimmie, and her siblings make it very difficult for them to save any money for the home they desperately need. This is where we come in as a community! Having a stable, accessible home would make all the difference in Kimmie’s journey forward. Learn how you can join us in making a difference by clicking here.

Meeting The Needs of Others
TRUE Community Credit Union fulfilled a legacy-defining moment for Morgan and his mom Rachel. In partnership with the McLindon Family Foundation, we were able to provide an adaptive bike to Morgan, giving him the opportunity to explore the world like never before. We were so excited and grateful for the opportunity to share in the joy and wear Morgan’s favorite color, red, for the celebration!
Member Milestone
We were able to celebrate and honor one of our amazing members, Ray Mortimer, on his 100th birthday. We presented him with a signed card by the TRUE team, celebrated his love of cars and granted his wish for a chance to go for a ride around Michigan International Speedway’s track! He is scheduled for his big ride in October. We value the chance to be a part of this legacy-defining moment!
